Hello,

These are 16 MOSFET transistors of the IXTN22N100L type.

The 16 transistors are in a drawer of an ATE test rack. it is currently used with a fin and fan disabled. but I would like to find a way to replace the fan and serve fin with a water thermal plate. For the closed circuit with water this is not a problem there are cold groups. What interests me is how to determine by calculation the water thermal plate. What are the thermal parameters to consider?

What kind of MOSFETs are you using that can operate at 300W ?

What is the application ?

Lot's are rated at such powers but few can actually do it in real life.

My through the wall air conditioner is rated at less than 5kW abd uses an outside radiator with an 18" fan .

It would be unusual to use air cooling at 5kW levels.

5kW is to much for low cost PC cooling components so you'll need to get Googling and talking to people who make stuff for serious power.

Running water is a great way to conduct heat away from a concentrated heat source, but if it is a closed system, you still need to cool the water off with something like the radiator in a car. A heat exchanger for 5 KW could be as big as the radiator in a car - with a pump and a fan.

Victoria,

This growing vegetables malarkey is a bit more difficult than it first seems. Are mushrooms a vegetable? I planted six cauliflowers last Autumn. One got rot, two were eaten by something (I still have not been able to work out what) and three are now flourishing but are not showing any sign of fruiting. I don't think I'll try them again. It's courgettes and French bean for me, plus a few potatoes.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the eventual harvest and consumption. Will they taste nice?

The plants look a little leggy, you might want to reduce the light exposure time to slow down the growth cycle a little.
