I have great respect for anyone who can read a data sheet, cover to cover. For some reason I can not do that (mild, undiagnosed dyslexia or ADHD?). I only pick up the data sheet (I mean view it on-line), when and if I run into a problem. I scan through until I find enough information to learn what I need and then I move on. Over the course of a project I may end up reading more than if I read it all through at first, but this is how it works best for me.
