A nice project.

I've always been interested in connecting an exercise machine up to the likes of the Google 'Street View' API so as you can virtually walk or cycle a real world route.

Better still if you could combine the elevation data with the resistance setting of the machine to simulate the effort level as well. This would allow you to train if you wanted to cycle the route in real life to make sure that everyone is fit enough to enjoy the experience, or to plan how long it realistically might take between stages so as you can book accommodation in appropriate places, allow time for sight-seeing.

This looks like a fantastic project!

I am especially interested because I use an exercise bike regularly and am unhappy with the built in monitoring systems and the low energy bluetooth transmission to a manufacturer provided smartphone App.

I look forward to watching your progress and, maybe, stealing a few of your ideas.

Very interesting project.

I like these introductions as it shows the other Challengers areas that collaboration might benefit both parties.

It also gives anyone following a really good understanding of what you're trying to achieve and any potential issues.
