Great job getting yourself out there and doing independent research! You even got multiple sources. So it sounds like they will just push this device around instead of it driving itself - is that correct?

Anytime that you can talk to and understand a potential users views of your project, you will gain valuable insights. User focus groups can be a very valuable tool. I think that your informal research was very good way to understand which features and functions would provide the user with the greatest benefit from your design.

I have also learnt new things from your blogs and continue the good work. Are you sure you are going to remove the motors because when I imagined as I read through, I saw the possibility of adding a Control in the hands of the user to stop the Seeing EyeDuino when required, a simple push button may be! Because of the guide dog concept, the dog which will also be running until commanded to stop, I am suggesting this.
