Wow! this idea could/should indeed be a commercial product! well done and goodluck! :-)

I was also searching for temperature sensors for the [ExM] #01 Espresso ex Machina introduction, so thank you for the tip on the IST, if only I can find a way to put it inside the machine-group :-P

It is a really cool idea. Lots of uses, perfect for dentists to use with children too! Especially if the children can't speak due to work being done to their teeth.

I think you could market that - because not only will it entertain the child, but it would provide valuable visual/audio feedback to the dentist if the child is comfortable or not.

There must be thousands of dentists who would buy that (and they have the money to pay for it ; ).

Perhaps a non-Melexis sensor (e.g. TI TMP006) may be better though - I always find it difficult working with Melexis even just to get a few samples out of them.
