I am currently working with the Infineon RGB Shield and have run into multiple issues. I am trying to run a single 5mm Red LED with it. Will it act as a 300mA load at the voltage you mention?

I would expect the resistor to be smoking, unless you have a power resistor, since it would need to dissipate 2.5W to act as a load.

Also, to prevent distraction, what is your end goal with the Infineon board? Does the end goal just need a 20mA LED? If so, then this board is not needed.

If the end goal needs a 300mA LED, then the board might be needed. What is the actual requirement, i.e.

what voltage do you plan to use, and what LED or LEDs are you planning to drive?

RE: Genie Update

Hi Parker, the board is expecting an LED with a higher junction voltage, perhaps 3 standard LEDs in series? Also you can dial down the current but I've not quite got my head around that part of the data sheet.
