Good start. I would recommend that you get some actual heart rate signals and sounds off the web.

Then I would add sound to your heart synchronized to the beat. The result should be really cool, plus you could set up a PIR sensor to detect when someone comes nearer and raise the heart beat accordingly.

Then it would be super cool.
