I do not have oscilloscope so I cant investigate how does the level shifter affect signal integrity, but I think 3.4 MHz are possible only with direct connection. Second issue is that it is very hard to find I2C driver supporting this speed. I checked datasheets of all my MCUs and all supports max speed of 1 MHz. I considering trying some overclocking of MCU which do officialy do not support this, but when I have seen many errors at 1 MHz, I decided to spend time with something less complicated and more usefull. I have prepared support for changing speed in my C library but it requires platform specific implementation and lot of testing, so I have not commited it publicly yet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=23684&amp;AppID=364&amp;AppType=Weblog&amp;ContentType=0" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
