&lt;p&gt;Regarding the crossed secondary wires, I guess the winding machine was set up to operate in one direction, and they may have wanted the secondary side to be oriented with the beginning of its winding at the same end as the primary side beginning. The photos help a lot, the datasheets are sometimes not easy to follow to understand the pin numbering direction : (&lt;/p&gt;
