There appears to be more to this device then they are willing to tell anyone at this time.

Possible future capability as yet unexploited.

When "stream on" is used... the data streamed is handled within the function processFrame(), which is found in main.cpp.

Here it basically prints out data stored in frm_data[NUM_SENSOR_PIXELS*2+NUM_INFO_BYTES];

where:

NUM_SENSOR_PIXELS = 60; and NUM_INFO_BYTES = 40; // i.e. Number of bytes prefixed to pixel data to create data frame

If send_pixel_data_with_stream is enabled, it prints out all 160 bytes otherwise it prints out 40 bytes.

Great blog [mention:7ac0e16090954ddfa5ac0f03fa891723:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] and it has helped me a great deal, in particular figuring out how proximity worked.

I had mentioned it elsewhere in a forum response but I am still a little curious as to why they used 0x02 value as a config setting for Main2 (0x02) config register and not 0x00.

Great! It seems your firmware is working perfect.

For some reason, my register values are not matching with the ones you reported. And my firmware is also old. version 1.0
