I have already started creating hardware accelerated overlays to display the measurements on the screen in real time, at the moment based on a solution by Adam Taylor on Vitis HLS but adapted to the Vitis Vision library. I had problems with the version of Vivado 2021.1 for Windows OS that is not able to synthesize the Video Mixer, but after updating to the version of Vivado 2022.1 everything is solved.

In my younger days, I could have really gotten into FPGA, it is very similar to the bit slice work I used to do.
