However, when I try to run the synthesis using default strategy, it seems to run forever (never stops). I searched for help in Xilinx technical support, and I found this issue is common: https://support.xilinx.com/s/question/0D52E00006iHqGOSA0/sp701-mipicsi2rx-example-design-question?language=en_US

Maybe is my hardware, I dont know. I'm using Vivado 2021.1, and my OS is Windows 10-64 bits. What versions are you using? Any idea what's going on?

Good luck!

Looking forward to your completed project!

Btw, I do wish there were an IP block with the "3A Algorithms" implemented. I came across this issue last year when I tried to use a RPi v2 camera with the Zybo (Zynq 7020 based).

Embedded Diaries: Hacking RPi camera for use with Zynq FPGA - Hackster.io

The PCAM-5C comes with a built-in ISP that handles the auto exposure and color balance. On the other hand, many newer cameras expect the host system's ISP to do the same. This creates an issue when you're using them with an FPGA.

For now, with the PCAM-5C you don't have to worry about it. Good luck!

RE: Sensor Fusion for Firefighters. This, in my opinion, reduces the usefulness of the blog, which was intended more as a few notes to quickly access information without having to lose focus on what interests you. In any case, you can open the pdf in another tab, to facilitate access to the documents and links related to the blog.
