&lt;p&gt;As I understand, the Steinhart-Hart method is accurate down to at least several thousandths of a degree, although proving that may be hard! Also it depends on obtaining very good coefficients of course, i.e. if the manufacturer provides good values for them or if one can calculate them, but that then requires the source data to be accurate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s annoying that some manufacturers do not provide them, leaving it up to the user to figure it out from typical values.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#39;t have a reference to accuracy of S-H as a model.
