I would be interested to know how would the control algorithm effect the vibration. FOC or regular? I remember FOC was much more silent in low speeds.

Hey. very cool. I think your board has BLE 5.0. Do you know the same could work with BLE 4.0? I found the BLE quite slow for real time stream of data. I am new to BLE.

Hi Ralph,

You really dug deeply into this. I have read some of the examples, but haven't used TinyML so I don't have a feeling for what it can (and importantly can't) do. Regarding footsteps, the ability to distinguish different persons is interesting. I imagine it could be fooled by tiptoeing around, skipping, taking big steps, etc. It will be interesting to see what uses might end up in commercial products.

An interesting read, thank you. Something I too have pondered is how to make a system to predict failure on a mechanical system but to train it when there is no failure available ! I guess you can only train it to determine things are good...anything else is a sign of failure to be investigated? Cool project, I am exited to see if this is possible to really "name" a person in the room and perhaps also if pets are present, i.e the quiet walk of a cat may be the biggest challenge... however as someone mentioned in the other blog interesting to see a human presence in a room and i.e. how many people are in by the number of different "step fingerprints" or which kind of shoes they wear ;-), cheers Michael
