Dear Javagoza,

I am a student that just started on DL boards, I was using your blog to get started on this subject, however I am stuck at Tera Term, I don't know why when I start it, and while I am connected to the board, with the USB cable, and ethernet cable, it shows that the port is COM 7, and not COM 4 as seen in this blog, I will try on another laptop, and another possibility I could think of is that I am using the latest version of Tera Term, which is Tera Term 5, and I though maybe you are using an older version? if so can you kindly share with me the software?

Dear Javagoza,

I'm facing a problem with the interface ( Tetra Term 5 ), it's not showing the same as the picture you attached to this page. Also, my board is LD's are not flashing as mentioned in the blog. I will attach the pictures to this comment. Your help will be truly appreciated.

Good blog. BTW do you know how the PYNQ knows where the peripherals are connected for this particular board? cause normally the PYNQ-Z1 boot image works on this board too.

Great presentation of PYNQ flow on this platform. I did finish PYNQ on Arty-Z7 last month, however, I have not found time to dig deeper as you did. Great inspiration after reading the blog here.

I spent several hours this weekend trying to stream from the included USB webcam with no luck.

When I loaded petalinux it recognized the USB webcam, although I had to chmod 666 /dev/video0 to get permission to use it

cap= cv2.VideoCapture(0) doesn't work

cap= cv2.VideoCapture('/dev/video0') doesn't work

I didn't try fswebcam yet....

If I connect the USB webcam to a laptop and then output the laptop video to the HDMI in, then I can stream from it.

This project is giving me more grey hair....

I’ve been working on creating a Haarcascade classifier to identify different fruits, starting with bananas. Unfortunately, the initial results haven’t been very promising. When I tested the classifier using the contest-provided webcam, the images were too clear, which confused the classifier. I realized I need to better control the camera settings.

Switching to a Logitech webcam significantly improved the image quality, but there’s still room for improvement in the classifier itself
