It could be useful.

I've looked at the settings for the serial port in my RPi (without an EnOcean Pi attached)

Mine always boots and responds, but if I watch the boot I see "Removing stale lock file"

Thanks for sharing some of the "little tricks" required.

I did wonder if using the DEBUG mode would allow the sensor id's to be seen, and now you've confirmed it (my kit is somewhere in transit, but that's fine cause you guys will have all the bugs sorted [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-4bc40561-694c-4472-9811-9cde4c6e0d1f/contentimage_5F00_938.png:16:16] )

I don't suppose the RPi is trying to send debug/info out the serial port as it boots, which causes the serial port issues you're seeing.?
