Hello,

How can I change the chart size?

1. I tried the parameters in openhab.cfg

chart:defaultHeight=50

chart:defaultWidth=100

and I got an illegible chart

2. I tried the parameters "w" and "h" in the sitemap but they were not taken into consideration

Any ideas?

The reason for that error is not directly having both NTP and MySQL (I run that setup just fine). The reason is that OpenHAB cannot store Date values in MySQL properly. I darkly remember that there might be some workaround, but I don't remember it. So just don't use '*' for your persistence rules, but specify what values should be persisted.

I've been playing with persistence too. For me, MongoDb kind of worked, but the Raspberry Pi is a bit underpowered and the interface slowed way down when I tried having MongoDB on the same Raspberry Pi as OpenHAB. The next thing I was going to try is running Mongo on a separate Pi to see if that helps. But I need to get another Pi first.

How as the performance of the UI when you used RRD4J? I assumed you installed on the same Pi that was running OpenHAB?

I had the same problems with the mySQL storage. In the end, it looked like multiple issues. There was a small error in my items configuration (a missing " in one place where openHAB did not complain about). Then I changed my persistence rules to just '*' to make sure all items are marked for being stored. And then I had the issue that only the sensor activated first after a restart got added to the 'Items' table, but not the others. So I just restarted several times and activated one of the sensors manually. After all sensors got added to the 'Items' table, I changed the configuration back to what I needed.

Did you verify that the user configured for openHAB actually can connect and write to the database? There should be at least the #Items' table created.
