Update

For some strange and still unknown reason, I cannot get the receiver to recognize the Transmitter.

It will see the remote, and the Outlets see the Transmitter, but no matter what I adjust it refuses to decode it.

I suspect it needs a preamble sequence to get the receiver to settle down from its 50Hz noise detection, and I did see a small pulse on the remote a few mS before the 24 bits of data.

So a bit more work to do before the whole solution is ready.

Hi Mark,

Nice post! It's pretty cool seeing all the considerations needed for ensuring data integrity.

The Watts Clever devices look quite well-made. I might try to find some similar UK product just for switching lamps on/off around the house.
