Does anyone have experience with EnOcean STM 300

Hello!

I am planning to use a motion detector based on EnOcean technology. The available solar powered OEM products using the STM 300 are rather expensive (70€ and more), so I was wondering whether anyone has experience in building your own motion detector Based on STM 300 or if anyone has found a cheaper version of the product.

The idea is have it communicating with a EnOcean Pi modul on a RPi.

Hi Ravi,

I am trying to get a STM312 module with firmware STMSEN-868.hex to work with the Openhab binding. Unfortunately the module does not send the values from AD0 - AD2. It sends only a payload FFFFFF0C which does not change if I adjust the voltage at the inputs.

If I reflash the module with your special firmware compiled for a STM330 it works for AD0 and AD1. So the module is not dead

Do you have any idea how to get the module running with the default firmware and the three analog inputs?

hello,this is my problem.

The EOP-350 UPB always cann't communicate with the TCM320U,and programming the module won’t be possible.It is received the error message below

I tried to restore EO3000I configuration area from backup and using the Programmer section of DolphinStudio to update the TCM300 and received the error message below.

Try code attached in above blog with keil... Keil c51 licensed version required for creating hex file... 8kb code size limited demo version of keil c51 will not work...

Updating Enocean OpenHab binding by adding new profils

Hello,

I am using OpenHab 1.7 version, I want to add the following enocean profil to the existing EnOcean binding

*EEP: A5-07-01 (occupancy sensors)

*EEP: D2.01.08 (dimmers with Energy Measurement and Local Control)

Can you help me with impIementing a support for them?

Are there steps that I can follow to update the OpenHab EnOcean binding to be able to support a new profile?

I am having the same issue, may i know if anyone has a workaround to implement the occupancy sensor in openhab? I would really appreciate that!

Have you tried making contact with the person looking after OpenHAB.??

We struck this during the Forget Me Not challange..

Some people did a work around.

Yes the FET could directly replace the reed switch.

You are probably correct - the PIR sensor would likely need its own solar cell to ensure the STM320 always has enough power.

I am afraid, that the solar of the STM320 does not give enough output power. So it would suck out the backup battery soon. What do you think?

You could use a PIR sensor powered by a small solar cell to drive a FET that connects across the reed switch of an STM 320.

Here is an example of a PIR sensor:

HI Ravi,

unfortunately I am not enough experienced in hardware design. I want to setup a PIR solar powered (no batty changing action because of maintenance!) sending a signal on movement detection in a room to the EnOcean Pi. I am using a STM320 for a door coontact, which works exactly the way I need it. Unfortunately there is nothing comparable to get around the STM300.

maybe you can give me a hint.

I'm trying to make a wireless communication link between my raspberry pi and MSP430G2553 launchpad using nRF24L01 modules.

I'm using RF24 library for raspberry pi and Enrf24 library for launchpad.

First thing I tried was to configure one of mu launchpad+nRF module as transmitter and other pair as a reciever( as in the sample comes with Enrf24 library ) and it works fine.

Now I want my raspberry pi to be the receiver. But Pi is not at all receiving the message.

So now I'm sure that my transmitter is at channel0 and the activity around channel 60 may be due to my router.

The easy way out would be to use a USB to spi converter and if not then simply get an arduino with an ftdi chip and make it sub task the wireless stuff.

Last but not the least you can try the rpisoc

And use it as an spirit controller. Ironically rpisoc connects to the RPI using spirit

I didn't have the scope

SPI is enabled, and even channel strength scanning is working fine....but data is not detected...

I tried little-endian big-endian thing also but of no hope

Let's see what I can do...

Sadly the linux serial comm drivers for G2xx series is not in good shape and it usually( almost always ) hungs....
