I think you did a nice job and well planned. I always struggle with wire choices as each has its benefits and side effects. If this will be on apparel that has to move the stranded is definitely the way to go. A thinner wire might be more flexible but also weaker. I have many times taken the wire from a set of earbuds and used it for applications as it is very tiny and flexible and also designed to be strong. Keep up the good work.

Very nice tutorial on soldering.

You are correct in using the stranded wire. It is more flexible than solid wire, which would be important if you need to bend the wires around.

Precutting the wires is also a good idea. It allows you to review your final layout and identify any issues before you solder everything together.
