Would you please explain me what is the difference between the PM sensor which works with laser and the one which works with LED?

(accuracy, range and working principle)

Thanks for collecting and publishing all that data.

It is interesting and relevant to me as I live in Ontario but it probably has wide appeal.

These airvisual devices would make absolutely great design challenge prizes.

After reading your blog I started considering getting one of these for my home lab, with all the projects I do (soldering, 3D printing, etc.) it may help me keep the air quality up and allow me to work less impeded by these bad fumes and stuffy air. Thanks for this informative post, and btw cool blog.

I read your post, it was reallly very helpful. But I have one question. CC320 is based on Wifi. There are other protocols 802.15.4 based device also which support beacons. Have you any idea about that? And there is a chip available for CC320. How you interface that??

Hi sir!

I am using amphenol dust senor SM-PWM-01A to know the dust levels in our soldering area. Its output is PWM and I am unable to convert the output into mg/m3. So please kindly provide the necessary information required if anyone know it.

Great update Jan.

I was hoping some of the contestants would continue on with their designs and collect some real data.

Your design would be a great project for young people to increase their knowledge about sampling their local environment.

Hello. Can I know whether if it is necessary to put fan to direct the air towards the sensor chambers? I am currently building my own air quality box too and using the same SHARP dust sensor.
