Regarding the CC3200 and Mac, did you try with this driver: CC3200 LaunchPad CDC drivers disk image for Mac OS X? (reboot required)

As for the CCS, it also supports Linux if you prefer it over Windows (I run it on latest Ubuntu and it works fine).

Been there before, and it's quite amazing how it impacts on your ability to think the problem through.

I found going away and doing something else helped ... well it helped the keyboard survive.
