From January in polish newspaper "Elektronika Praktyczna" ep.com.pl

is published course "Internet of Thinks in Examples" ( I am a author )

Course based on CC3200 LaunchPad. In course I used TI software

Code Compser Studio v6, CC3200 SDK, CCS UniFlash, PinMux Tool.

During course I will be demonstrate practical and useful IoT projects.

I made it alone. I have only schematic, without package. If you want I can share it for you.

Thanks Lukasz for your kind answer.

Your umbrella controller approach could be possibly used to close window using special motor when bad weather is approaching.

For exaple, I used to live in a house with roof window from the bathroom and we often left it open in the morning after taking a shower, but if a strong rain came during the day then in the evening there was water on the floor in the bathroom.

Great post, well documented!

Every roadtester brings in some new elements that simplify life for others, for example nice visualisations of weather forecast on LCD screen.

Thanks for figuring out how to connect LCD screen and providing schematics with code.

Good demonstration how to parse GPS NMEA messages.

Also liked how you prepare data for sending to Plotly.

I have a few questions:

What is the role of BC547 transistor at the LCD screen. Is is lowering supply voltage to 1.8V.

What is power consumption from the LiPo? Can your solar panel keep it alive?

Is TIRTOS implementing watchdog and hibernate against board freezing? From Plotly graph I could not see your setup working continuously over longer periods of time.

It is difficult for a single person to implement everything. May be roadtesters should collaborate and brainstorm more in future and work on some joint project togather that could poissible conquer the world. May be monthly webinars could be organized where participants could discuss the progress or simply over Skype.
