Congratulation GL. I enjoyed the project.

Your project are in a class of there own much higher than mine. I didn't throw my hat into the ring for this. SMD soldering scared me off.

I'm checking the sign-up list for challenges in the future. If your name is on the list, I think I will sit it out.

I played hockey at a competitive level for many years. I wan't a bad hockey but I knew I wasn't a good player either. I played for and against good players and they are at a different level. You are at that different level.

I respect your talent.

It was a blast working with Wurth Elektronik's WL-ICLEDs and learnt a bit in the process. Many thanks for their support of the community, especially [mention:65e4e63234534c7cb746d7055326d50a:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] for taking the time to follow along with the posts and offer technical insights.

I hope you've also enjoyed my postings and congratulations to [mention:bb48cf10c1ce4f018a502506c6f49d3a:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] and [mention:c1295226a524499ebc86ab19939f27c2:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] as deserved runners-up winners.

To the finishers - some of you have done very well and come quite close, but others may have encountered setbacks and difficulties along the way. Soldering SMD LEDs is definitely a challenge which takes time to perfect - I too was once an LED murderer and can sympathise with the struggle. Practice (and experimentation) make perfect, so I can only encourage you all to keep at it and build your skill and technique (and, if necessary, your tools if it makes it easier). Eventually, you'll come across a way that works for you at the scale you work at - it's even clear in this design challenge just how some may have had solder paste and hot plates (which I would have liked to have), while others may have only had a soldering iron and no hot air. I wish you all the best with your future electronic endeavours.
