The drive wheel grabs the marker and feeds it through the machine.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A microswitch at the cap end stops the marker motor, allowing the cap motor to continue and remove the cap, spitting it out the end.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;When the microswitch detects the cap is off, it allows the marker motor to continue until the marker is completely out.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It may need an override button to stop the microswitch and eject the marker.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;typical microswitch&lt;span&gt;[View:/resized-image/__size/456x360/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-2d5d39c4-4ce5-412c-af0b-2ff69c917b4f/contentimage_5F00_181285.jpg:456:360]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=1413&amp;AppID=130&amp;AppType=Weblog&amp;ContentType=0" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
