Of course that's very theatrical whilst your vision seems to be more fluid and dance orientated, but it's interesting that yours holds an echo of the past in it.

Not sure about the altimeters - wouldn't someone have to jump extremely high for it to register on an altimeter? [Symphony for a Music Performance Suit and High-Speed Lift, perhaps?] I suspect you'll do better with the accelerometers; one at each ankle and one at each wrist and you (and the performer in the suit) will be able to develop a whole language of gestures that can be pieced together to make a performance.

Thanks for sharing the suit design sketches, I'm looking forward to seeing how you go with the stretch sensors - will they be a visible part of the design on the outside of the suit? I've played with using conductive jersey fabric for textile sensors but I've seen instructables for hand knitted and crocheted stretch sensors made from conductive yarn that have a very appealing hand-made aesthetic too.

I like the idea of making cloths that support your data collection for making

You can have a person make music by moving and you can train people to walk silently using the same set up.
