Very interesting project.

For the attachment.

I'd suggest using a piece of circuit board stuck on the rear for the wires to attach to.

You can then run a fine wire onto your film much like a speaker has the coil wire runnig onto a pad that will accept wires.

In your previous blog, you were concerned about the film lifting.

I recall using a product that was sprayed over lettering to stop it rubbing off.

You might be able to find a similar product that can be applied and will not affect the capacitance.

Nice update, but I wonder if the matte finish might detract from the looks of the unit.

That copper finish is awesome.
