Great work getting some data before the window closed. It sounds like there is potential to get quite a bit more scientific about optimizing syrup production.

You sure put that sensor through its paces. It's crazy to think that the space between your doors gets up to 165 Fahrenheit.

Hello my fellow N-Gaged challengers

This blog marks the end of my 5 blog series for this design challenge. Good luck to everyone, I've been seeing some pretty stiff competition.

Thank you Omega, for supplying me with some very interesting gear. I will still continue to utilize the Kit for my IoT experiments. I have listed a long future Enhancement List, that I will be getting to over the next year. These are of interest to me and I just could not fit them into the timeframe of the Challenge.

Looking forward to many more months of collaboration with fellow challenges with the same Kit.

I enjoyed this blog, especially the block diagram. It reminds me that although wireless technology and the cloud prevent us from running thousands of feet of cable, the underlying technology and network hierarchy that make it all work are quite complex.

I had exactly the same problem. Unfortunately I did not browse element14 site for some time and I was not aware that someone else was experiencing the same issue. I spent many days troubleshooting the problem since I was convinced it was a connectivity problem that was down to something in my network, or something I did wrong.

In the end, I made a network capture and realized there was a problem with TLS (as far as I understand, CA certificate on the server was not accepted as valid by the gateway) but then I stopped investigating the issue

I will never thank you enough for sharing the solution!

Nice post. I'm having a blast using this device and would like to know more.

I'd be interested in knowing how to use the sensor block on the device. Could you share the model of the thermocouple you used and describe the connection to the terminal block input?
