Hello fellow challengers, members and judges,

Now working on Phase 3: Telemetry, Synchronization & LabVIEW Dashboard.
Objective: Combine the real-time MCU sensor data and Linux MPU vision data, package it logically, and stream it to an operator interface.
I'm happy to see that some challengers had some luck with LabVIEW, and I'll be reviewing your implementations for guidance, since I'm new to LabVIEW.

Excellent breakdown of the ILS concept! Leveraging the dual-brain architecture of the Arduino UNO Q for this is a fantastic choice—using the Linux/Qualcomm side for motion-triggered quantized AI inference while keeping the STM32 for real-time hardware alerting is incredibly smart resource management for a 2GB RAM budget. Also, incorporating CAN Bus via the MAX33041ESHLD shield ensures the ruggedness required for a real factory environment. Can’t wait to see your custom 'AI Vision Brick' in action!

Hello fellow challengers,judges and members

What an incredible journey this design challenge has been! With projects due at 23:59 UK time on June 21st—and it currently being past 2:00 AM EST here—I wanted to make sure I submitted my notes from the last month of offline work. I've worked incredibly hard on the Industrial Line Sentinel (ILS) over these past weeks, and I really hope that effort pays off and shows in this submitted project requirement for the element14 On-Line challenge!

While I’m thrilled to have published my core implementation plan and progress so far, I’m not quite at the finish line just yet. I hit a bit of a roadblock when it came to deploying my Edge Impulse PPE model onto the Arduino UNO Q. Getting the AI vision model to consistently recognize the safety hazards on-device turned out to be trickier than anticipated!

Because of this, I’m treating today's submission as a major milestone, but not the end. I am actively moving on to Phases 3 and 4 of the roadmap (including the LabVIEW integration and full system validation), so please stay tuned for updates as I push through those phases!

I would love to hear from other challengers and element14 community members. What are your thoughts on the ILS architecture? Have any of you run into similar deployment hurdles with the UNO Q's dual-core setup? Any advice or feedback is highly welcome!
