I wonder if perhaps there is confusion on tag and actual location of the blog entry?

I personally find that creating the blog entry and saving it in the Design Challenge area will best help to tie in your information for this specific Design Challenge. Additional tagging is of course nice.

Then by specifying the Design challenge area to be the location of the blog:

Of course any additional tagging is always nice:

But browsing through the TOC and other information spots I have missed specifics on Tagging...

You can tag it with the `piiot` tag and a tag of your own choice (e.g. your project's name)

I can confirm. You will not recieve a confirmation email for the application in either a RoadTest or Design Challenge.

Peter I think you are true. As a matter of fact you don't receive a confirmation email but your submission remain accessible (to you at least) in your content page. What probably happens to someone is that if they previously added the inbox follow to the page they received also a news from their submission. But this seems strange to me too...

When you submit a Design Challenge (Same for Road Test), you don't get a confirmation email (Or at least I never have over the last few years)

element14Dave can you please confirm. If this is a new feature then I also did not get an email, but im pretty sure they dont get emails on application, only when E14 sends out who has been selected.

They will not be added to the drop down at this time. Their omission from the list does not exclude them from being able to apply for the challenge. When filling out your application, select "other" and than put your full address into the application (just in case).. Good Luck!

Hi element14Dave,

Got a doubt about the Ts&Cs Pi IoT-Smarter Spaces with Raspberry Pi 3: Terms and Conditions. It is mentioned we should own all IP's used. I am not that knowledgeable about IP's and licensing, are the challengers able to use libraries for the RPI or Arduino that are commonly used? To mention a couple of them, RF libraries, MQTT or other sensors and actuators...

Maybe the question is too wide, but not sure how to narrow it down without going into all of the libraries, etc.

You can participate as a team, with as many people as you would like. Just submit one application. We will only award one kit, and one prize(if won) for the entry (not award multiple kits or prizes). Best of luck!

Hello davidoct14 as fvan said, applicants from Mexico are free to participate. You are welcome to use whatever hardware you would like, provided the Raspberry Pi 3 is included in the final build.

As clem57 stated in Pi IoT - Smarter Spaces with Raspberry Pi 3: About This Challenge : Mexico is fine to participate according to T&C (Pi IoT-Smarter Spaces with Raspberry Pi 3: Terms and Conditions ).

Any hardware is fine, but you have to use the Raspberry Pi 3, as stated here: Pi IoT - Smarter Spaces with Raspberry Pi 3: The Kit- UPDATED!
