Interesting memory. I do remember those, so yes sort of similar. The raspberry Pi/camera will be a high tech twist to an old tech toy.

Hi Gene,

The suspended fans bring back memories for me, of the children's toy airplanes, that were suspended via thin string from the ceiling, and they flew in a circle.

Looking forward to seeing your project in action : ) It sounds a lot more interesting!

This looks like a great project and you seem to be making rapid progress. I really like kinetic art so I am looking forward to 'seeing' it all working. I too, although not a mechanical engineer find the 3D printing process fascinating, although my designs are much simpler - I'm not sure I could make a sphere (maybe I'll have a go just for fun).
