A very smooth turning action. The bearings must be working well. Have you given any thought to the wind or draught that might be created? For a flicker free image you might need to rotate at 50 revolutions per second or maybe only 25 revs per second if using both sides of the globe. which is going to move a lot of air around.

That is looking pretty cool. I like the approach that you took to power your raspberry Pi through the bearings. I am using some slip rings on my project to power moving arms and so far they are working well.
