It's six months (maybe 10) I work on a complex image recognition algorithm using OpenCV as the base library and as far as I can read, your approach is very pragmatic. It will be interesting a separated discussion on our respective signs of progress.

Enrico

RE: More Processing OpenCv

Maybe its a creepy looking guy detector? [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-48cccd23-7cb1-4e15-b0a6-d0d3a872ecb8/contentimage_5F00_2516.png:16:16]

RE: More Processing OpenCv

I can recall the first face detection application I used. It was back in the late 80's to early 90's and it took an Intel 386 based PC around 10mins to process each image. It was used to automatically extract passport style images from scanned photographs by scaling and cropping after face detection. The process is slightly quicker these days !

RE: More Processing OpenCv

Nice update.

I suspect that the face detector software did not see an entire face with your daughter, which is why it selected the guy behind.

DAB
