Awesome progress on your project. I like your label design a lot. One thought was that if you could add a registration mark to outer pink circle establishing 12:00 on a clock face (like an inward triangle), if might give you a reference point for detecting the green/white dots . Having resolved the circle and reference you could use a grid to sample for the dots along the 'known' positions, greatly simplifying dot detection (e.i. on inner circle diameter at 1:00, 2:00, etc.).
