Good starting point.

You might get some issues with fuller jars due to the change in momentum with the extra mass.

You might also need some additional gearing to get the torque levels more consistent for a smoother rotation.

Nice video showing the operation. I also had a problem viewing in within the blog, I got to 15 seconds and it then stopped, but it played fine when viewed directly on Youtube.
