Good progress.

The scale accuracy is secondary to keeping track of initial weight and the steady decrease in contents.

You can always use an algorithm that takes your normally use amount and calculate an estimated number of uses left and then set up a reorder limit when you get down to a weeks supply left.

So accuracy is not as great an issue as a use case.
