There is some very useful info here.

1. Installation — Picamera 1.12 documentation

It surprised me the the 35mm equiv lens size changed between versions.

It also seems that the fuzziness reported with some v2 (8MP) cameras may have been resolved.

Not sure if will help with your frame size but it's got some useful info regardless.

Hi Bernhard,

Really great project, I think it has a lot of value. It should take a lot of guesswork out of cooking, because no-one knows the rate at which the stove, pan and contents are together working at (and especially for new recipes), without a lot of experience.

I wish the Grid-EYE temperature capability was higher, so that it could also be used for additional features such as (say) detecting when oil is heated to the right temperature, or other cases where >100 degrees C is needed. However, for your application I think it should work really well : ) It is a fantastic sensor. Best of luck with your project!
