Great job! The graphs are very useful. You did an amazing job on the final video - I really struggled to take the time to make nice videos. And I’m glad to see that at least one other contestant had the daily struggle to balance time between an infant and the project!

Thanks everyone! This was a project that I've been thinking about for a long time, and the contest was the perfect motivation. To be honest, this will make me want to use the smoker a lot more. And good thing, too, since we just had a half pig's worth of meat delivered to our freezer!

This looks really neat! I like that you have it connected to your mobile phone. I also like that you can save the settings that you used for a certain meat so that if it turned out really good, you can just follow the same settings next time.

It looks like a very practical and useful project. Have you tried smoking salmon?

Jonathan,

A very good end to a very interesting project. I might add that you have made some excellent choices in boards (Settlers and Ticket to Ride, Yeah!). I has been fun and interesting to follow your development process throughout this design challenge. I hope to follow in your footsteps on this one as I too love to BBQ. I have manually smoke/cooked meats, including competing in several BBQ contests. Low and Slow is the way to go, but it does take a fair amount of work and several cool beers to make it through a cook.

What a great summary of a fantastic project - I've really enjoyed following your progress. Watching your summary video there are several points that really stand out to me for comment and praise - your neat and tidy bespoke PCB, the functionality of your app, the flexible cables solution from servo to vent, the fact that you wrote a transcript to accompany the video and lastly we get a free cookery lesson. Top work and thank you for sharing all your hard work.
