Congratulations to the winners and participants. The blogs show that this challenge required a lot of work in different design disciplines. Also many of the contestants had an added challenge in that there were no actual bees around during the contest. There were some creative ways around this with audio data-sets and models of bees being substituted instead.

Geez, thanks everyone!

What a way to wake up this morning to such good news! I really wasn't expecting to win anything given the tough competition for this one - this is perhaps the first time I've attempted a full blown "design challenge" rather than the "experimenting with" sort, so I'm honoured to have been selected as runner-up.

FYI - the gear is still outside as we speak, because I've been too busy to bring it inside. The LoRaWAN gateway is still online and data has been collected on an ongoing basis. Hopefully makers in North-West Sydney, Australia will benefit :).

Thanks to E14 for another great challenge. I especially enjoyed this one because I was able to learn about bees. Do we know which Bee Charities will get the donations?

Looking forward to receiving the eBike and the Bee Hotel. It will be too late for Mason bees, but I think that I might be able to get some Leaf Cutter bees...

Also looking forward to finding out what the Mystery Prizes are [emoticon:6d505171faa4497c85c5ca27290c555d].
