Two winners?

PSoC Smarter Life Challenge has been organized by Newark/Element14 AND Cypress. On the day of winners announcement Dave Hamblin from Newark (dhamblin@newark.com) announced my “Brainwaves Appliance Controller” project as winner and Gagan Luthra (gul@cypress.com) from Cypress announced Doug Wong’s project as winner.

I just checked David Hamblin’s announcement below (look for “This Week on Community 20-24 January 2014 blog post below by element14Dave, who is Dave Hamblin from Newark) and now after more than 24 hours it still lists my project as winner of Smarter Life Challenge when you click on "The winner of the element14 Smarter Life Challenge is.." – check it before someone may decide to remove it, but in that case I have it captured on the video I posted in my blog above “Winner for only 5 hours…” and on youtube and on a screenshot.

Both Newark and Cypress announcements have been done through the same type of media: a blog posted on the blog hosted by Newark/Element14.

So technically (and probably legally too) both our projects have been announced as winners, mine by Newark/Element14 and Doug’s by Cypress, (the two organizers of this challenge).

Congratulations to the winners. Your projects were very well done.

As I have stated before, you are all winners in my book.

You all had interesting projects that demonstrated the capabilities of the PSOC board and you all posted interesting blogs of your progress.

Sadly, only three top spots were available.

I hope you all consider participating in future projects.

None of you did anything wrong and I am sure that the judges at Cypress agonized over their final selection.

Hold your heads up high.
