&lt;pre&gt;&amp;quot;&lt;span&gt;There is a note about requiring to have external resistors on the I2C lines. However, the ESP has configurable pull-up resistors, so no external circuitry will be required at all&amp;quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;External pull-ups are required for i2c.
