Noble project idea. One thought I hope is helpful, is publishing too much short term info to the patient. The blood pressure , pulse, etc in folks can fluctuate alot with short term activity. In some older folks, the measurements can become a fixation and generate anxiety. Avoid blowing a foghorn when measurements get out of range short term :-)

This a great start for your project. I really respect that your are looking after your grandma so well. Blood pressure is a very important measurement, needed to track the correct medication level. I have tracked my blood pressure for years. It is interesting to see the range of measurement error between devices. I used to bring my home unit in to my doctor visits, to correlate my reading with theirs.

Sometimes, like in my case, blood pressure can be easily effected just by low levels of stress and/or mood. I have learned to double check my stress level prior to taking a reading. If I sense that I am stressing, I do a short meditation, or take a few cleansing breath and then proceed with the measurement.

It is also important to remember your medications. Recently my mother experienced dizziness that in turn was traced to a significant rise in her blood pressure. Turns out that she was forgetting to take her blood pressure medications. We have started using daily pill holders for her medications, and one of her kids fills and monitors her medications weekly, along with friendly phone calls and reminders. (I seem to remember that you did a project based on pill reminders a while ago).
