I like the wrist mount idea.

In many of the early comic books, they heroes used gantlets with various capabilities.

You also see this approach with the Predator series.

It makes a lot of sense for combat or search and rescue environments. You want something that is easy to access, but non-intrusive. The gantlet provides both of those on a part of the body where it is easy to fit.

Looks like a good build.

It is easy to use, you only need a serial interface so you can easily connect it to TI MCU.
