Seeing your design in this proof of concept explanation I would like suggest you a possible method that probably it is the worth to investigate on it. I tried to answer to the question:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;What are the conditions that says the safety glasses (with the elastic band on the back) are correctly in place without involving too much heavy and disturbing electronics and sensors on them? &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The idea is almost easy, IMHO; three force sensors that self-calibrate the first time the safety eyeglasses are used able to detect the tension and its direction on both sides of the glasses, just where the elastic band is attached. With these three simple values (one on every side, I mean six total force sensors) we know if the glasses are up, but not on top of the head leaving the eyes under risk and not on any other wrong position than correctly in place protecting eyes. A very small couple of board acting as the elastic band joint with the glasses can provide a lot of information: tension value, direction, position change and so on.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What do you think ?
