Great project, keep us informed when the plants are growing!

Just one question, did you consider LEDs with a specific spectrum, optimised for growing the crops.

My colleagues do a lot of research on this. Amongst others, one for growing crops in space: EDEN ISS: How to cultivate vegetables in space - WUR.

You posted these to your personal blog not the design challenge blog : Upcycle Ithttps://www.element14.com/community/community/design-challenges/upcycleit you may need to edit these and change them over to be saved in the Upcycle It Design Challenge (not sure of correct spelling of top of my head, but it should autopopulate once you get close.

I have done this in the past and then was confused when the report for weekly blogs were ran and mine were not counted among them. They actually pull directly from the Design Challenge Blog section for those.

Yes, I am definitely interested in seeing your germination rate and growth rates over time.

I am not sure if you need to germinate the plants first and then transplant, but your first test will help answer that issue.
