I have tried to get some spectra from different colored LEDs. The results were disappointing and so I presented it as a separate Blog so as not to mess up this discussion. Green plants don't have much use for green light. That's why the forest is green.

These are the jessy currently. Red+Blue leds with a Cree bulb for the hard-ish UV.

Nice link.

I have seen other articles along this line and there is good data on how some plants respond to different types of light.

I think the work is in its early phases, so experimentation by everyone can yield some valuable data.

This challenge provides an excellent opportunity for the contestants to experiment an discuss their findings.
