Indeed, you are implementing a process control system of agriculture.

Manufacturers have been doing this level of planning and control for decades.

I am very happy to see its migration into agriculture. I once heard that as much of 30% of crops world wide goes to waste. Are we so overwhelmed with food that we can accept that statement as state of the art?

So far this challenge has exceeded my expectations of correctly defining the problems and the initial use of technology to improve the process.
