These sheets are designed to suppress high frequency noise generated from the electronic devices or a product useful to EMC compliance. The flexible sheet is a polymer base, blended with micron-sized magnetic powders dispersed throughout the material. These sheets are effective for electromagnetic wave and resonance suppression, and can be cut into a variety of shapes and sizes.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;The supplier was interested in sponsoring an activity on element14 that focuses on their noise suppression sheets. They were looking at a roadtest or a Experimenting with Components Design Challenge. I&amp;#39;ve placed an image of one version of the noise suppression sheets on the right.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Here is a link to the data sheet, which is very detailed. &lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;Earlier this year, I ran an &amp;quot;Experimenting with Vibration Sensors&amp;quot; Design Challenge. It was a great activity for the element14 community. The experimenters were really creative and produced some most interesting blogs from their ideas.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;As I usually do after an activity, I meet with the sponsor(s) and brainstorm new ideas. In a recent meeting, piezoelectric transducers came up.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;The piezoelectric transducer shown to me is actual an ultrasonic actuator. Basically, an electrical signal is applied to the device and it then generates ultrasonic waves. These kinds of transducers are used in cleaning equipment and treatment machines.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;"&gt;I writing this poll to gauge interest on this product.
