BeagleBone CAPE - wireless power

Anyone want to build a BeagleBoneBeagleBone CAPE with TI bqTesla wireless power solutions?

A "cape" is a BeagleBone daughterboard. We'll generally refer to them as "capes" because "Underdog" is a beagle and he wears a cape. The term "shields" is nice, but that has some implication of Arduino and this is definitely not an Arduino clone. Take a look at the list of registered cape concepts and register your own. You can purchase some of the capes via the CircuitCo BeagleBone Cape wiki page which attempts to log all of the capes currently available for sale.

Wireless Design Competition

Keith here, one of the lucky competitors in the Wireless Design Competition. Just thought I would hop on and say how excited I am to get this contest underway, and how much fun it is going to be. I am a fairly new member to element14, and I am delighted to get to know many of you here. Please throw any tips you have about designing and using Eagle my way, as I will be brand new to this title. I hope to bring an excellent and exciting project to bear in this competition! Thanks for your help and support!

Hello Keith,

my self will buy the first on the market existing laptop with the Qi Standard and also the first livingroom desk (built in "Qi"). I do nok how many of you is fighting dayly with the cable in your living room? I am electronic eng and already thing about a docking solution to be built in, but my wife do not permit to cut holes in our living room desk So the next desk will have Qi onboard is sure! I can imagine that next year the technology will grow so fast that this imagination will be not quoted as "Star Wars" technology. Until this days I will use my replacement batteries and hope to not forget to have them charged

In a very dexterious mood I already did a lot of work on this; I'll post the progress thus far in the blog; I really have to concentrate on other things now ( other RoadTest Design, private live), so please: IF you're considering in going on with making a design for the Beagle: take a look at my design, and re-use whaterver you like. And please give me credit where applicable

Hello Shane,

I've looked into the files of the beaglebone, and since I've already made a start on the charger in Eagle I can make this for you. It'll be:

- USB power input for charging

- Qi input for charging

- single LiPo cell battery

- supplying 5V from LiPo cell to 5V_SYS connection of the Beagle

Thanks Simon, I appreciate it a bunch.

I now have the kit and I should have an unboxing video out sometime in the next day or so here. I'm very excited to get underway on some of the projects that I have come up with while waiting for the kit, and I think that people are going to have a lot of fun with them. I am pretty new to the design world, so I hope most of the content I throw into this competition will be fun activities that lots of people will be able to do.
