If you are in need of additional receiver or transmitter coils, please don't hesitate to send Christian or me a quick note. We can fedex them to you ...

RE: Free wireless charging coils for participants of the challenge

Hi Hendrik,

thanks a lot.

You are correct. The original reference design suggests the 760308201. Unfortunately such reference designs never get updated with new product releases.

760308201 was basically the first WPC receiver on the market. It is a quit large and rugged receiver.

For the same reference design you can use also our newer coils like

760308103202

760308103203

760308103204

Those are much smaller, less in weight and thinner.

Lars

RE: Free wireless charging coils for participants of the challenge

Hi Mark,

great to hear from you.

Here are my comments:

1. Correct, generally you can use the 50mm transmitter coils also as receiver coil.

2. The best would be if you can email me (lars.fahrbach@we-online.de) the inductance value (and if available the resonant frequency) and we can suggest you the right coil to use. Most important is the inductance value. We will try to find a coil then, which hopefully doesn't require any changes to the receiver design. In some cases it is necessary to change the value of the MLCCs a little.

best regards

Lars

RE: Free wireless charging coils for participants of the challenge

Lars

I would like to replace the non Wurth coils with yours, but I have two questions please.

1. Can the 50mm transmitter coils also be used for receive assuming you match the resonance correctly.

2. If I measure the inductance of the existing non Wurth coils, will it be sufficient, or should I try to determine the resonant frequency.

Also do you have a contact detail .. I have sent a contact request.

Thanks very much for this Challenge, it has been most interesting.

Mark
